Step 1

1–2 years

2–3 years
Short sentences, playing near other children, simple pretend play, running, imitating.
Step 4
3–5 years
Conversation, cooperative play, imaginative play, drawing, listening to stories.
Step 5
School age
Reading, sustained attention, friendships, following multi-step instructions, sport and interests.
